Alaskan White Fish Sampler

In this delightful sampler of Alaskan White Fish, you receive:

  • 2 – 6 ounce portions of Alaskan Halibut (skinless and boneless)
  • 2 – 6 ounce portions of Cod (skinless and boneless)
  • 2 – 4 ounce portions of Sablefish (skin-on, bone-in*)

Wild Alaskan Halibut is light and lean, with a fresh, mild flavor, and delicate texture. Because Vital Choice focuses on purity in its fish, they select only sustainably harvested Alaskan halibut weighing 20 pounds or less. Younger than typical halibut, Vital Choice Halibut is more tender than most.

These 6-ounce vacuum-sealed halibut portions come to you skinless and boneless.*

High in protein and omega-3s, and versatile in flavor, Alaskan Halibut is an outstanding choice for regular dining or the perfect entrée for guests.

Alaskan Cod, or Pacific or "True" Cod, is a lean, high protein, low-calorie fish that's firm, moist and flakey.

Coming from icy, pristine Alaskan waters, this top-quality Pacific cod is certified sustainably harvested to help maintain Alaska's abundant cod fishery.

Skinless and boneless, and with its delicate, slightly sweet flavor, it's a versatile fish that harmonizes with a wide array of seasonings and sauces for a simply prepared meal.

Alaskan Sablefish, or "Black Cod", is highly prized overseas, making it a rarity in US markets. Its richness stems from the ample body fat that Sablefish accumulate to survive their frigid, deep-water environments.

Sablefish is very high in omega-3s, with each 4-ounce portion averaging a whopping 1.6 grams – more than most wild Salmon.

Storage and Preparation tips: Keep frozen at or below 0° F (-18° C). Vacuum-sealed fish held under these conditions should retain their quality for at least six to 12 months. Lean white fish (halibut, cod) generally have a longer freezer life than fatty fish (salmon, sablefish). If stored in a frost-free freezer, use within 3 months.

To thaw, remove (or puncture) packaging and defrost in refrigerator. For quick thawing, place frozen package in cool water for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, just until contents are flexible. Once thawed, immediately cook or refrigerate.

*Despite great care, bones may occur infrequently. Chew all fish well before swallowing.
